DANCE WORKSHOP: Fun Dance Class for Under 12’s

A short and fun Sunday morning dance session for under 12 year olds at Messums Wiltshire.

Our teacher Gabi led the children through a physical warm up and engaged the group in creative tasks and games to experience and enjoy dance! This event was free to join and parents were welcome to join in.

All of our young participants were invited to watch the screening of PINA for free after the dance workshop.

The class was led by dance facilitator Gabija Cepelyte. Gabi specialises in contemporary and street styles and has been facilitating dance sessions for youth for almost 10 years. Her practice includes choreographing and performing for hip-hop dance theatre (credits include Making An Elephant, Boy Blue Entertainment, Actual Size Dance Company), teaching dance technique classes (Future, The Place), exploring contact improvisation and improvisation with live music.

In this class, the participants warmed up, explored creative movement tasks and dance games to have the best time and learn new dance moves.
