Mark Allen is now chairman of the Mark Allen Group, publisher of journals, magazines, digital products and events for specialist business and consumer communities. Returning to writing is in many ways a return to his roots, as an author of private poetry through his life and steeped in British literature, Allen’s formative career was forged with pen.

However it is a moment in a dysfunctional Somerset childhood that becomes the start point for this remarkable debut novel, one of retribution and ultimately an analysis of vengeance and regret in the human psyche.
