Tim Evershed is a furniture maker who designs and produces furniture for residential and commercial spaces with a focus on craftsmanship, material, longevity and purpose.
Before starting Brook studio, Tim Evershed studied Product Design, trained as a Cabinet-maker and worked for several furniture makers on the South Coast. His work is underpinned by the exploration of traditional craft techniques, an understanding of natural material and a modern design aesthetic that draws influence from the reductive forms of Shaker and Danish Mid-century furniture.
Tim works with interior designers, architects and private clients. Projects range from bespoke furniture commissions and small batch production runs crafted at his studio in Hampshire, to public art and commercial interiors.
Sustainability is important to Tim, who sources timber from local tree surgeons and sawmills across the South of England. Some of this timber, he air dries himself on-site, ensuring complete ownership of the furniture making process.
Tim is alumni of the Crafts Councils’ renowned Hot House programme and sells work through galleries and retailers nationwide and overseas.
Messum’s Wiltshire is a pioneering multi-purpose gallery and arts centre celebrating the creative endeavour.
