Simon Fletcher was born in Birmingham, England. From 1967-1975 he studied for a BA in Fine Art after attending St Albans and Watford art schools and University College for the Creative Arts, Farnham. Simon later studied landscape design before becoming artistic director for Gardenesque Landscape Design Company.
From 1975-1982 Simon travelled widely in Europe and Africa working and exhibiting.
For two years the artist was director of the Oxford Printmakers Co-operative and now regularly holds workshops in drawing, pastel and watercolour. He lives and works in Southern France and Morocco with his wife Julie.
