Description:

This is a short taster workshop ideal for those who have always longed to have a go.  This course will provide you with the ideal opportunity to try out the potter’s wheel, to have fun making your first masterpiece and to see if you too will ‘get the bug’.  This course will concentrate just on throwing. The shapes you will be learning will be small flat bottom bowls and cylindrical forms.

Materials explained: Clay will be provided as part of the course. There is no extra charge if you wish to take home your unfired pieces (up to four). If you would like us to fire your work for you to have as a forever keepsake or to use in order to learn later about how to glaze, please add into your basket the biscuit firing option. At Messums Creative we embrace sustainable creative learning practice and our system is designed to enable our students to make the best choice for them.

Bring: apron, pencil, notebook. Please wear closed-toe shoes.
