Introducing practice – Q and A session with Andy Glass about firing your electric kiln. This session is designed to empower all emerging potters to use their electric kilns well. It will cover firing temperatures and schedules, tips on what to do and what to avoid doing.
Andy Glass. Andy completed his degree in Ceramics in 1996 at the University of Derby. After university he worked as a production thrower for several years and consequently in the early 00’s developed his ceramic practice through a series of Artistic Residencies at Cranleigh Arts Centre in Surrey, South Hill Park Arts Centre, and Wysning Arts Centre. His career includes a wide teaching portfolio as well as kiln and pottery equipment engineering. Andy has decided to step away from his engineering job in order to concentrate on returning to developing his own creative voice.
