Friday daytime adult class with a focus on understanding glazes.
Dates: 21 January – 1 April (Half term: 25 February)
Times: 10.30am – 1.30pm
Tutor: Mirka Golden-Hann
This is an ideal class for those ceramics and pottery students, beginners and more advanced who, whilst engaging in clay making, also wish to gain a deeper understanding of how ceramic glazes work. As well as covering many hand-building methods and throwing on the potters wheel, this course will include an element of glaze experimentation and development.
Our group sessions are delivered within a relaxed, friendly, and peaceful atmosphere, an ideal environment for creative learning. This regular weekly class led by Mirka Golden-Hann is designed to nurture everyone’s individual creativity and further each person’s skills at their own pace whilst offering an insight into the science of ceramics practice.
Mirka Golden- Hann is a ceramic artist and teacher with over 20 years’ experience of running a pottery studio.
