Course description:

In this course our technical expert Andy Glass will demonstrate several designs of kiln controller and will explain how to set them and use them to achieve the best firing results. This is the perfect opportunity to ask as many questions as you may have about ideal firing cycles and kiln controllers.

Andy Glass is Messums Creative technical expert and pottery tutor. Andy completed his degree in Ceramics in 1996 at the University of Derby. After university he worked as a production thrower for several years and consequently in the early 00’s developed his ceramic practice through a series of Artistic Residencies at Cranleigh Arts Centre in Surrey, South Hill Park Arts Centre, and Wysning Arts Centre. His career includes a wide teaching portfolio as well as kiln and pottery equipment engineering. Andy has decided to step away from his engineering job in order to concentrate on returning to developing his own creative voice.
