Katie Spragg graduated from MA Ceramics & Glass at the Royal College of Art in 2016. Recent achievements include; the acquisition of her piece ‘Hedgerow’ by the Victoria and Albert Museum, selected for a ‘Spotlight’ space at Collect 2017 with Flow Gallery, commissioned to run a project for the TATE Exchange programme as a member of the collective Collective Matter, being twice selected for the Charlotte Fraser Award during her time at the RCA, selected to show with Future Heritage at Decorex 2016 and the upcoming display of her work in the Garden Museum, London.

Prior to her MA and since completing her BA in 3D Materials Practice at Brighton University Katie had developed a practice which involved exhibiting and undertaking residencies both in the UK and abroad at institutions including the V&A museum, Somerset House and Grimmerhus International Ceramic Museum, Denmark. She had also developed a commercial range sold at Liberty London, Paul Smith and the Fashion and Textile Museum.

Teaching and public engagement is an important part of Katie’s practice having recently completed a project for Tate Exchange, with Collective Matter and held positions at the University of Brighton and a long-term post at Camden Arts Centre, amongst others.
