A struck piece of “TIsbury coral” marks one of the earliest records of human occupation of the British Isles and points to a connection with inanimate objects in our distant genealogy.
In this workshop you will make your own “Tisbury coral” using a plaster filled clay thumb pot – one of the earliest forms of pot making. The clay pot mould can be peeled off to reveal the coral star created, a unique object to make and keep.
